In the initial research phase, I was tasked with investigating upcycling, which I documented here: LINK. Since I was on holiday and had some extra time, I also looked into the evolution of fashion. This document (LINK) covers how fast fashion emerged and operates. During my research, I also discovered the story of the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire, which led me to consider creating a game where the player takes on the role of a CEO of a fast fashion company like Inditex (Zara’s parent company). The idea was to educate teenagers on the workings of fast fashion, similar to how Monopoly illustrates the dynamics of monopolies. You can find the document here: LINK.
